Everything you need to know about checking railway reservation charts
A railway reservation chart is a detailed document prepared before a train's departure that lists all confirmed, RAC, and waitlisted passengers along with their seat/berth numbers. It shows the final allocation of berths and coaches for the journey.
The reservation chart is typically prepared 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from its originating station. However, for some trains, it may be prepared earlier or later depending on operational requirements.
Simply enter your train number or name, select your journey date, boarding station, and destination station, then click "Check Reservation Chart." Our tool will fetch the live chart data and display coach-wise vacancy information.
E2E (End-to-End) means the berth is vacant for the entire duration of your journey from your boarding station to your destination. Partial means the berth is vacant for only a portion of your journey - it may be occupied by someone boarding or alighting at intermediate stations.
No, this tool only displays the reservation chart information for reference. For booking tickets, please visit the official IRCTC website or app. The TTE on board can also issue tickets for vacant berths as per railway rules.
The chart may not be available if it hasn't been prepared yet (usually 4 hours before departure), or if the train number or date is incorrect. If the chart shows as "Not Prepared," please check back closer to the departure time.
